Nashville, Tenn. (June 28, 2010) - For the fourth consecutive year The Buntin Group has been recognized with an American Advertising Federation (AAF) National ADDY Award. The 2010 award, for Campaign Illustration, was earned by the Nashville, Tenn.-based agency for its work on Cracker Barrel Old Country Store's visual branding materials.
The "Timeless Country Values" illustrations - some of which can be seen here - were used across multiple Cracker Barrel campaign components including out-of-home, in-store, promotional and direct mail.

Nashville, Tenn. based The Buntin Group recently earned MEDIAWEEK’s Media Plan of the Year Award for the agency’s planning and buying strategy for client O’Charley’s strategic alliance with Fox Sports Net’s “SEC Gridiron Live Show” during the Fall 2009 college football season. Buntin was one of only 15 agencies recognized in the 2010 national competition.

(May 6, 2010) - To its recent creative recognition which has seen The Buntin Group advance 15 entries to the National ADDY competition and receive Best Print Campaign in the Southeast and Best of Show/Print for John Deere, the agency has also now received a MEDIAWEEK National Media Plan of the Year award. The award recognizes a planning and buying strategy for client O'Charley's strategic alliance with Fox Sports Net's "SEC Gridiron Live Show" during Fall 2009 and was the only national award given for plans of $1 million or less focusing on use of television.
Buntin Media created the Fox Sports alliance to cost effectively grow share of voice, consumer presence and deliver an attractive target audience to O'Charley's - a regional casual-dining restaurant chain in a highly competitive category that includes national chains with significant broadcast media spending advantages.

Nashville, Tenn. (April 19, 2010) - The Buntin Group has been honored with 15 ADDY® Awards in the 7th District American Advertising Federation ADDY Awards competition, winning six Gold ADDYs and nine Silver ADDYs for work on behalf of John Deere, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, RBC Royal Bank of Canada and Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation.
The regional ADDY competition is the second of a three-tier competition conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) which culminates in the prestigious National ADDYs that will be awarded June 10 in Orlando. Among the leading independent agencies in the competition, Buntin has earned National ADDYs in each of the past three years and five of the last 10.
The ADDYs are the world's industry's largest, most representative and toughest advertising competition, attracting over 60,000 entries every year in over 200 local and 15 district ADDY competitions. It is the only creative awards program administered by the advertising industry for the industry and recognizes all forms of advertising from media of all types, creative by all sizes and entrants of all levels from anywhere in the world.

Nashville, Tenn. (February 21, 2010) - The Buntin Group was honored with 43 ADDY Awards at the American Advertising Federation Nashville's (AAF Nashville) annual creative competition held February 20 at Limelight Nashville. Buntin led the competition for the 13th consecutive year, winning 8 Gold and 35 Silver ADDYs among its total - along with Copywriter of the Year and a Judges' Choice Award.Work for agency clients including John Deere, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Tennessee Education Lottery, RBC Bank, SERVPRO Industries and Robert Bosch Corporation were among the entries to receive recognition.
Jason Wright, Group Creative Partner, was named Copywriter of the Year for his work on the Tennessee Education Lottery's "Big Checks" campaign designed to increase awareness of the frequency and amounts of lottery winnings by Tennesseans. It marked the fourth consecutive year that a Buntin Group writer has earned the award. A television commercial from the campaign - "Big Pens" - also earned a Judges' Choice Award.

Nashville, Tenn., February 16, 2010 - Buntin Out-of-Home Media, the largest independent manager of outdoor advertising programs in the country, has named Carol A. Leinweber Senior Vice-President, Director of Client Relations. She will assume chief responsibility for the company's account management services.
"We have been very patient about filling this important position and are excited to be able to bring someone with Carol's knowledge and experience into the company," said Howard Greiner, President and COO of Buntin Out-of-Home. "Her knowledge of the outdoor industry, her experience in managing national programs and her recognition for strategic planning are widely known and respected."
Leinweber most recently was a senior strategist and outdoor marketing expert for the city of Chicago's bid to host the 2016 Summer Olympics. Prior to that, in 2005, she was named to lead a new outdoor advertising division within Omnicom Media Group - overseeing offices in Detroit, Chicago and San Francisco.

Theresa Menz joins the agency as Senior Art Director, bringing 11 years of art direction and design experience for brands such as Landrover, Kraft, Kellogg's and Coca-Cola.

(June 1, 2009) - With a 20% revenue increase in 2008, The Buntin Group moved up in national rankings to number 97 among advertising agencies in the U.S. Published by Adweek, the "Top 100 Agencies" list is a part the publication's annual agency report card exercise. The increase reflects one of the industry's strongest performances and maintains the 37-year agency's position among the top 50 independent agencies.
